PATENTS

If Your Invention is Patented or Patent Applied For...

If your patent is issued, send us a copy or give us the number and we will order a copy from the Patent Office. If you have applied for your patent and it is not yet issued, send us the drawings and specifications but remove the "claims" from the specifications. If you prefer not to send the specifications, then send the drawings and a written description of your invention, its uses, etc. We do need all the information possible for use in preparing the submission materials.

If Your Invention is Unpatented...

Many inventors prefer to do the submitting of their invention prior to applying for a patent. Many manufacturers publish booklets or instructions for submitting inventions to them and almost without exception, they will state that if the invention is unpatented, the drawings and specifications should be witnessed and dated by two people who understand the invention.

In filling out any "Proof of Invention" form, make your drawings understandable, with full details on the construction and use of your invention. If you are employing us to submit it for you, the more details we have, the better we can prepare the descriptive materials.
